Matthew Lotter Photography

In college, while studying aeronautical engineering, I took photography as a fine arts credit. I shot countless rolls of black and white film. Sadly a few months later my father passed away, and the portraits I took would be some of the last photographs ever taken of him. This is when I realized the gravity a photographer can have. I knew then what I wanted to do. So I left my job in aerospace, enrolled in more photography classes and started assisting at a local photography studio. A year and a half later it was time I break out on my own.

Very quickly in my career I started working major brands and businesses. Throughout my career, whether an individual client or a global brand, I have consistently elevated the clients' ideas creating impactful imagery. Impactful because it doesn't hide behind digital manipulation. It requires technical knowledge, an understanding of the visual language, a creative mind that never rests and collaboration with likeminded professionals.

I have been extremely fortunate to have the experiences photography has brought me. From the places it's taken me, to the major brands and publications I've worked with. I am currently a Fujifilm GFX Ambassador, and also work with Nanlite/Nanlux lighting, Sekonic light meters and Tenba bags. Brands that I am very honored and proud to represent.
